Hi, I'm Diana and I wanted to offer this site for those who were looking for support and information about grief.  If you are a parent looking for information on how to help your grieving child, a teen looking for their own support or an adult trying to understand their own grief reactions - I want to be the friend you can turn to and ask the tough questions.  I hope this site will give you the information you need.

Why should you come to this site looking for information?  Why ask ME questions?  Well, I received my Masters in Applied Clinical Psychology, became a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Thanatologist. I specialize in Grief Counseling, with an interest in children with grief and pet loss. I have been a speaker on topics such as Anticipatory Grief, Caregiver Stress, Compassion Fatigue, Pet Loss, Grief Education, Children in Grief and Coping with the Holidays.

In my work with the grieving population, I have experienced, and seen, the common issues we all seem to struggle with in grief. I feel that we live in a death and grief phobic society and my mission is to offer grief education to everyone. In our schools, we teach sex education and the dangers of drugs and alcohol, but we don't teach our children about death and dying. I knew I was on to something when some of my friends told me they didn't know what to say, or how to act, at a funeral - or how to be with someone who is terminally ill or dying. I would like to help make these topics more comfortable. I want to take these issues out, look at them, touch them, and yes, experience them. We are all born and we will all die. In the interim, we will experience many kinds of losses. Every one of us! Let's learn together how to be comfortable with these issues, or at the very least cope with them a little better, and come out stronger and wiser for the experience.
